Hilliard Bradley High School welcomed Superintendent Dale A. McVey on October 13, 2011 for his annual “2020 Speech.”
This speech focused on School Funding and embracing school changes, yet staying true to the community.
McVey shared a PowerPoint presentation to enhance his speech.

On Nov. 5, Davidson will be hosting a “Wildcats Excellent Adventure Pancake/Activities Day” to promote the Hilliard levy. The event will be held throughout the lower level of the school from 8 a.m – 12 p.m.
Davidson teacher Jennifer Cooper is coordinating much of the show.

Seeing as this past September was the tenth anniversary of 9/11, the question of how Bradley students and teachers commemorated that tragic event came to mind.
“I went to the site of a piece of the Twin Towers in Old Hilliard and wore a special ‘in memory of 9/11’ T-shirt all weekend,” Senior Lauren Payne said.

There is no doubt that students have noticed the changes in the cafeteria menu this year. Coffee, potato chips, and carbonated beverages have all been kicked from the shelves. Other snacks that have been barred include Little Debbie products, fruit roll-ups, all types of candy, and juice in containers larger than 12 oz. The reason for the changes is due to Ohio Senate Bill 210.

Superintendent Dale McVey hosted the first online “Lunch with the Superintendent” on Sept. 15 to reach community members and parents and provide information.
Initially, the session started with 30 participants at approximately 12:05 p.m. and it ended at 12:45 p.m. Throughout the lunch, there were 47 participants.
McVey first began his presentation by sharing a PowerPoint for 20 minutes. The presentation included the district’s recent Local Report Card from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), cost per student, and different examples of ways the district has used money to provide better experiences for students.

Juniors from all over the state attended the Buckeye State leadership conferences this past June. Buckeye State is a citizenship program that focuses on the operation of government and is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary of Ohio. Students learn how government works with hands-on activities and simulations.
Seniors Kyle Vermillion and Tom Groseclose attended Boys State which took place at Bowling Green State University from June 11-19. Vendala Clark and Gretchen Rutz attended Girls State at the University of Mount Union from June 12-18. Read More »
